Photographing weddings and capturing precious moments is something that I just absolutely love. My passion for shooting only increases when they are one of the coolest couples I know and, not to mention, my close friends. I am truly blown away by the awesomeness of Luke and Liz’s art gallery wedding in the centre of Sheffield. What a fantastic day all around and I am so happy I got to be part of it.
You could say that Luke and Liz are one of the primary reasons I started my wedding photography business. The first wedding I’ve ever shot was Ruth and Ryan with the awesome guys, Mike & Tom. Luke and Liz just happen to be the brother and sister-in-law of Ruth & Ryan. I was honoured to be one of both weddings and just hope that my photos do some justice to showing what and amazing day it was.
Contemporary, Art Gallery Wedding
There were a lot of cool things happening throughout the whole wedding day. In the morning, Liz was having her hair and makeup done at her mum’s house with her bridesmaids, while Luke was getting ready at Mercure Hotel in Sheffield city centre. Their ceremony was held at the modern art gallery, Millennium Galleries where they put their personal touch on everything to make the place look like one might cool wedding venue.
After the ceremony, we took a little walk to the famous steel scity car park to get some epic wedding shots done — as required by the couple to be “unlike any ordinary wedding photos”. Have I achieved that? Scroll down to the photoshoot section to find out yourself.
When the guests were all fed and ready to dance, Luke and Liz invited the brilliant New York Brass Band to start the show. The dance floor was jam packed with happy people and their happy dance moves! What a amazing way to finish off their wedding day.
I hope you like the photos!
